Battery Life:
Battery life spans are normally related to the number of full charge and discharge cycles a battery can do before it loses 30 to 40% of it's capacity. .

Weight:
The weight of an electric bike is essential to its performance, there are also legal limits for weight. The heaviest parts of an electric bike is the battery, the frame, and the motor.

DC brushless Motor:
Brushless instead of a brushed motor offers reduced maintenance and better speed control.

Warranty:
Make sure your bike has a decent manufacturer's warranty, especially important if you are buying over the Internet or from an unknown supplier.
